Terms of Service
Last updated 26 September 2026
These terms govern your use of the Karat interface. By connecting a wallet and using it, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
What Karat is
Karat is a front-end to smart contracts on Robinhood Chain. It is non-custodial: it never holds your funds, never takes control of your wallet, and cannot move your assets. Every transaction is signed by you and executed by contracts that run without our intervention.
Launching a token through Karat deploys an ERC-20 whose entire supply is placed into a Uniswap v4 pool as two positions owned by the launchpad contract. That contract exposes no function that decreases a position, so the liquidity cannot be withdrawn by us, by the creator, or by anyone else. The pool charges the fee the creator chose, between 1% and 3% per trade.
What a pair asset is, and what it is not
Tokens such as GLD, USO, NVDA and SPY on Robinhood Chain are issued by third parties and track the price of an exchange-traded fund or a listed share. Karat neither issues them nor guarantees them.
Holding GLD is not holding gold. Holding USO is not holding oil. Holding NVDA is not holding a share. There is no physical delivery, no right of redemption against any metal, barrel or fund, no shareholder right, no dividend and no vote. What you hold is a token whose price is intended to follow another price, and whose value depends entirely on the party that issued it. If that issuer fails, ceases to honour the peg, or disappears, the token may become worthless regardless of what the underlying asset does.
Karat does not merely route trades in these assets: it distributes them to token holders out of a pool's own fees. The risk above is therefore borne by every holder who claims, not only by someone who chose to buy the asset.
Fees and what holders receive
Of the fee a pool charges in the pair asset, 70% is credited to the token's holder ledger, of which the creator may have redirected up to 15 points to themselves; the remainder goes to the protocol treasury. The token side of every fee is burned. Holders claim their own share from the token contract; no one claims it for them and no one can withhold it.
No amount shown by Karat is a forecast. The interface displays only what has already been charged, credited and paid, as recorded on chain. It shows no yield, no annualised rate, no estimate and no simulation, because none of those would be knowable. Trading fees depend entirely on volume that may never occur. A token may generate no fees at all, and a holder may be owed nothing, indefinitely.
Market hours and price gaps
The assets these tokens track are traded on markets that close. Outside those hours, and at weekends, spreads widen, liquidity thins and prices gap at the reopen. A trade or a claim executed in those periods can settle at a materially worse price than the reference suggests.
Liquidity and slippage
Some pair assets carry little on-chain depth. The interface displays the measured depth of each asset and warns before a launch when a token reaching the top of its curve would absorb more than that asset's pool can supply without moving. You are responsible for reading that warning.
No audit
The Karat contracts have not been audited by an external firm. They are covered by the test suite and the adversarial tests published in the repository, and nothing more. Use them with that in mind.
No advice
Nothing on this site is investment, financial, legal or tax advice. Karat makes no recommendation about any token, any pair asset, or any transaction. You act on your own judgement and at your own risk, and you may lose everything you commit.
Tokens launched by other people
Anyone can launch a token through Karat. Their names, symbols and images are chosen by their creators, not by us. Listing on this interface is not an endorsement, a verification, or any statement that a project is genuine or that its creator is honest.
Availability and changes
The interface may be unavailable, incomplete or wrong at any time. The contracts keep running regardless: a token, its pool and its ledger do not depend on this website. We may change these terms; the date above says when they last changed.
